The video has been shortened but the shutdown time was 9 minutes and three seconds, plus the time that I wrote a tweet before recording.
why is this so bad?
The story behind this video is, one day I had a blue screen on my new PC, I had no idea what it was since the PC was new there shouldn't have been any problems, down the line I started to find out what happens before the blue screen so I could narrow down the device, my network will cut out randomly, every other device connects fine but every so often my PC network will cut out and you can't unplug it an re-plug it, you can't disable and re-enable the device because it freezes the device manager or the network screen, all drivers are up to date so it is rather peculiar, after all this has been done, the only option you have to get an internet connection is to restart or shutdown, the shutdown process will take 10 minutes onwards and then finally you will be greeted with this lovely blue screen that says DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.
'it's just an old device?'
Guess again, I have had this device for around six months or less, the guarantee states 3 years, I have definitely not gone past the guarantee, I wouldn't recommend this product if you aren't a technical person or you had bad quality devices.
